Isaiah 59

Isaiah 59

The prophet confronts the people, assuring them that God’s hand is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear. Instead, their iniquities have separated them from God. The prophet details their terrible sins: their hands are defiled with murder, and their lips speak lies and oppression. Seeing that there is no man to intercede, God Himself acts. God promises to come as a Redeemer to Zion, making a new covenant with the faithful remnant, ensuring His Spirit and His words will never depart from them.
