Isaiah 64

Isaiah 64

The people of God pray, urging God to tear open the heavens and come down to judge the nations, making His name known among His adversaries. They confess that they are all sinners, and their righteous deeds are like filthy rags. They plead for God's forgiveness and intervention, recognizing that they are the clay, and God is the potter. They ask God to look down from heaven and see their desolate Temple and destroyed holy cities, urging God not to be angry beyond measure.
