James 4

James asks the challenging question: Where do the constant quarrels and conflicts in the church come from? He answers that they come from the selfish desires warring within us. James commands believers to submit to God, resist the devil, and draw near to God. He warns them against slandering one another and arrogance, urging them to realize that life is brief, like a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. To know the right thing to do and not do it is sin.
