Job 34

Job 34

Elihu appeals to wise men to judge Job’s statements, declaring that Job has added rebellion to his sin by saying that serving God is pointless. Elihu asserts that God cannot possibly act wickedly or pervert justice, as that would undermine His sovereignty over the earth. Elihu emphasizes God’s absolute power, noting that God merely has to withdraw His Spirit and breath, and all flesh will perish instantly. Elihu condemns Job for questioning God's rule and demands that Job repent of his arrogant speech.
