Job 40

Job 40

The Lord pauses and directly challenges Job: "Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct Him?" Job immediately humbles himself and replies, "Behold, I am insignificant; what can I answer you? I lay my hand over my mouth." God then commands Job to put on his magnificent power and show that he can govern the universe with the same justice and might as God. God challenges Job to subdue the massive mythical beasts, Behemoth (often linked to the hippopotamus) and Leviathan (a massive sea creature), creatures only God can control.
