John 20

John 20

Early on Sunday morning, Mary Magdalene finds the tomb empty. Peter and John run to the tomb and confirm only the grave clothes remain. Jesus first appears to Mary Magdalene outside the tomb, commissioning her to tell the disciples. Later that evening, Jesus appears to the disciples in a locked room and breathes the Holy Spirit on them. Thomas is absent and refuses to believe without seeing the wounds. Jesus appears again eight days later, inviting Thomas to touch His side, leading Thomas to declare, "My Lord and my God!"
