John 21

John 21

Jesus appears a third time to His disciples beside the Sea of Galilee. Peter and six other disciples fish all night with no success until Jesus tells them where to cast the net, resulting in a miraculous catch of 153 fish. Jesus then reinstates Peter by asking him three times, "Do you love me?" and commanding him, "Feed my sheep." Jesus prophesies the kind of death Peter would die (martyrdom). The chapter concludes by noting that if all Jesus did were written down, the world itself could not contain the books.
