John 5

John 5

Jesus travels to Jerusalem and heals a man who had been invalid for thirty-eight years at the Pool of Bethesda. Because this miracle was performed on the Sabbath, the religious leaders confront Jesus. Jesus defends His action by stating, "My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working," claiming equality with God. Jesus tells His critics that the Scriptures, including Moses, testify about Him, but they refuse to believe.
