John 6

Jesus miraculously feeds five thousand men (plus women and children) with five barley loaves and two fish. When the crowd seeks to make Him their king, Jesus withdraws. Later, the disciples struggle against a storm on the Sea of Galilee, and Jesus walks on the water to meet them. Jesus delivers the Bread of Life Discourse, teaching that He is the true bread from heaven. Many disciples find this teaching too difficult and abandon Him, but Peter affirms, "You have the words of eternal life."
