Joshua 19

Joshua 19

This chapter details the inheritance allotted to the remaining six tribes: Simeon, Zebulun, Issachar, Asher, Naphtali, and Dan. Simeon’s portion is uniquely located within the larger territory of Judah. The tribe of Dan receives a very small allotment, and they fail to conquer it, eventually moving north to settle in the distant city of Laish. The chapter concludes by assigning Joshua his own personal city, Timnath-serah, within the territory of Ephraim, finalizing the entire process of land division.
