Joshua 6

Joshua 6

God gives Joshua the battle plan for conquering the fortified city of Jericho. For six days, the army is to silently march around the city once, led by the priests carrying the Ark of the Covenant and seven priests blowing trumpets (shofars). On the seventh day, the army is to march around the city seven times. At Joshua's command, the priests sound a long blast, and the people shout. Miraculously, the walls of Jericho collapse flat, allowing the Israelites to charge straight in and destroy the city.
