Judges 13

Judges 13

The Israelites once again provoke God's anger, and He delivers them into the hands of the Philistines for forty years. The Angel of the Lord appears to the barren wife of a man named Manoah, announcing she will conceive a son who will begin to deliver Israel from the Philistines. The son must be a Nazarite from birth—he must never drink wine or cut his hair. The child, Samson, is born, and the Spirit of the Lord begins to move upon him, preparing him for his extraordinary life of superhuman strength.
