Judges 16

Judges 16

Samson travels to Gaza, a Philistine stronghold, where he spends the night with a prostitute. The Philistines wait to ambush him, but Samson miraculously escapes by waking at midnight and tearing out the city gates, posts, and bar, carrying them all the way to a hill near Hebron. He then falls in love with Delilah in the Valley of Sorek. The Philistine lords bribe Delilah to discover the secret of Samson’s strength. After three failed attempts, she finally persuades him to reveal that his strength lies in his seven braided Nazarite locks.
