Judges 4

Judges 4

The Israelites once again fall into sin, and God allows Jabin, the Canaanite king of Hazor, to oppress them for twenty years under his formidable army commander, Sisera, who possessed nine hundred iron chariots. God raises Deborah, a prophetess and the only female judge, to deliver them. Deborah, alongside the general Barak, defeats Sisera's army at the River Kishon. Sisera flees on foot to the tent of a Kenite woman named Jael, who famously kills him by driving a tent peg through his temple while he sleeps, ensuring a decisive victory.
