Leviticus 20

Leviticus 20

This chapter prescribes the penalties for violating the major laws established in Chapter 18 (sexual sins) and Chapter 19 (idolatry). The penalties for incest, adultery, bestiality, and homosexual acts are all death. This chapter severely punishes the practice of child sacrifice (offering children to Molech) and consulting mediums or spiritists. The harshness of the penalties underscores the absolute seriousness of these sins in defiling God’s people and their covenant relationship.
