Leviticus 5

Leviticus 5

This chapter provides laws for the Guilt Offering (or Trespass Offering), which addresses specific sins where damage or loss occurs to God's holy things or to another person. This offering requires not only the sacrifice of an animal but also restitution: the offender must pay back the full value of the loss plus an extra twenty percent (one-fifth). This combines atonement for the spiritual offense with practical restoration of the damage, ensuring justice and repentance are complete.
