Luke 16

Luke 16

Jesus tells the puzzling Parable of the Shrewd Manager (or Unjust Steward), teaching that disciples should use worldly wealth to make friends for eternity. Jesus then teaches the Pharisees that they cannot serve both God and money. He tells the vivid Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus, showing a stark contrast between a wealthy man who ignored the poor during life and the poor man who rests in Abraham's side in the afterlife. The rich man begs Abraham to warn his brothers, but Abraham refuses.
