Luke 19

Luke 19

Jesus enters Jericho and encounters Zacchaeus, a short, wealthy chief tax collector, who climbs a sycamore tree to see Him. Jesus invites Himself to Zacchaeus's house, causing a scandal. Zacchaeus repents, promising to give half his possessions to the poor and repay everyone he defrauded fourfold. Jesus declares that "The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost." Jesus then enters Jerusalem triumphantly, riding on a colt, and weeps over the city, prophesying its destruction.
