Malachi 4

Malachi 4

The final chapter of the Old Testament ends with a solemn warning and a glorious promise. Malachi warns that the Day of the Lord will come like a burning furnace, consuming all the wicked and the arrogant. However, for those who revere God's name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. Malachi promises that God will send the prophet Elijah before the great and dreadful Day of the Lord comes, to turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers.
