Mark 12

Mark 12

Jesus tells the Parable of the Wicked Tenants, clearly identifying Himself as the son of the vineyard owner who will be murdered by the tenants (the religious leaders). The leaders try to trap Jesus with three questions: Should Jews pay taxes to Caesar? Jesus answers, "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's." Which is the greatest commandment? Jesus answers, loving God and loving your neighbor. Jesus praises a poor widow who put two small coins into the treasury.
