Mark 15

Mark 15

Jesus is brought before the Roman governor, Pilate, who tries to release Him but yields to the crowd’s demands to crucify Jesus instead of the criminal Barabbas. Jesus is brutally mocked and tortured by the soldiers before being led out to Golgotha. He is crucified between two criminals. After Jesus dies, the temple curtain is torn in two. A Roman centurion witnesses Jesus's death and declares, "Truly this man was the Son of God!" Joseph of Arimathea buries Jesus's body.
