Mark 16

Mark 16

Early on Sunday morning, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome arrive at the tomb and find the stone rolled away. A young man in white clothes tells them, "He has risen. He is not here." The women flee in terror but are told to tell the disciples that Jesus is going ahead of them to Galilee. The chapter concludes with Jesus appearing to Mary Magdalene, the two disciples on the road, and finally to the eleven apostles, giving them the Great Commission to preach the gospel to all creation.
