Mark begins with the immediate ministry of Jesus, presenting Him as the powerful Son of God. He describes John the Baptist's preparatory work, followed by Jesus's baptism and temptation. Jesus then begins preaching in Galilee, proclaiming the Kingdom of God and calling His first four disciples—Peter, Andrew, James, and John. Jesus demonstrates His authority by exorcising a demon in the synagogue and healing a leper, quickly spreading His fame across the region.
