Jesus teaches that true defilement comes not from what goes into a person, but from what comes out of their heart—evil thoughts, murder, and malice. Jesus travels to Gentile regions and heals the daughter of a Syrophoenician woman for her great faith. He also heals a deaf man with a speech impediment.
