Mark 7

Mark 7

Jesus confronts the Pharisees over their human traditions, such as ritual hand washing, which they prioritize over God’s commands (like honoring parents). Jesus teaches that true defilement comes not from what goes into a person, but from what comes out of their heart—evil thoughts, murder, and malice. Jesus travels to Gentile regions and heals the daughter of a Syrophoenician woman for her great faith. He also heals a deaf man with a speech impediment.
