Mark 9

Mark 9

Jesus takes Peter, James, and John up a high mountain, where He is transfigured: His clothing becomes dazzling white, and Elijah and Moses appear. A cloud overshadows them, and a voice declares, "This is my beloved Son; listen to him!" Jesus later heals a boy possessed by a demon that the disciples could not cast out, explaining their failure was due to lack of prayer. The disciples argue about who is the greatest, prompting Jesus to teach that the greatest must be the servant of all.
