Matthew 11

Matthew 11

John the Baptist, now in prison, sends disciples to ask Jesus if He is truly the Messiah. Jesus responds by pointing to the miraculous deeds He is performing (healing the blind, raising the dead). Jesus then praises John as the greatest prophet born of women. Jesus condemns the unrepentant cities of Chorazin, Bethsaida, and Capernaum for rejecting His miracles. He ends with a gentle invitation: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
