Matthew 13

Matthew 13

Jesus teaches the crowds using parables to explain the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven. He starts with the Parable of the Sower, explaining that the seed (the word) falls on different types of soil (hearts). He also tells the parables of the wheat and the weeds, the mustard seed, and the yeast. Jesus emphasizes that parables reveal truth to believers while concealing it from those who reject Him. He ends by teaching that a prophet is often without honor in his own hometown, Nazareth.
