Matthew 15

Matthew 15

Jesus confronts the Pharisees for honoring human tradition over the clear command of God. They condemn Jesus’s disciples for not washing their hands ritualistically before eating, but Jesus condemns them for using a loophole (Corban) to avoid caring for their parents. Jesus then travels to the region of Tyre and Sidon and heals the daughter of a faithful Canaanite woman, praising her great faith. Later, Jesus performs a second miraculous feeding, providing for four thousand people with seven loaves and a few small fish.
