Matthew 24

Matthew 24

The disciples ask Jesus about the signs of His coming and the end of the age. Jesus responds with the Olivet Discourse, predicting the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple (which happened in 70 AD). He describes future events, including wars, famines, earthquakes, and persecution, stating these are only the "beginning of birth pains." Jesus warns that the timing of His return is unknown, and believers must remain vigilant and ready at all times.
