Matthew 27

Matthew 27

Judas, remorseful over betraying an innocent man, returns the money and commits suicide. Jesus is brought before the Roman governor, Pilate, who washes his hands of the decision but yields to the crowd’s demands to crucify Jesus. Jesus is mocked and led to Golgotha, where He is crucified between two criminals. After His death, the temple curtain is torn in two, and an earthquake occurs. Joseph of Arimathea buries Jesus's body in his own new tomb.
