Matthew 2

Matthew 2

After Jesus’s birth in Bethlehem, wise men (Magi) arrive in Jerusalem, seeking the newborn "King of the Jews," causing King Herod great alarm. Herod secretly tries to trick the Magi into revealing Jesus's location. God warns the Magi in a dream to avoid Herod. An angel warns Joseph, who immediately takes his family and flees to Egypt to escape Herod's furious order to murder all male children in Bethlehem under two years old. After Herod's death, Joseph is directed to settle the family in Nazareth in Galilee.
