Matthew 8

Jesus descends from the mountain and demonstrates His power over sickness, nature, and the spiritual world. He cleanses a leper, heals the paralyzed servant of a Roman centurion (praising his great faith), and heals Peter’s mother-in-law. Jesus calms a raging storm on the Sea of Galilee, astonishing the disciples. He concludes the chapter by casting a legion of demons out of two men and into a herd of pigs, who then rush down a bank and drown in the water.
