Micah 1

Micah 1

Micah’s prophecy begins with a vision of God descending from heaven to judge the whole earth, focusing specifically on the sins of Samaria (Israel) and Jerusalem (Judah). Micah accuses them of worshiping idols and engaging in massive corruption. He warns that God will allow foreign enemies to destroy both capital cities. Samaria will be reduced to a heap of ruins. Micah deeply mourns this destruction, knowing he must strip himself bare to publicly lament the devastation that is coming.
