Nehemiah 6

Nehemiah 6

The enemies of Judah, led by Sanballat and Tobiah, make four attempts to lure Nehemiah out of the safety of the city to harm him, but Nehemiah refuses, declaring, "I am doing a great work and I cannot come down." They then try to discredit him by circulating a false report that Nehemiah is plotting to make himself king and has hired prophets to announce it. Finally, a false prophet tries to trick Nehemiah into hiding in the Temple. Nehemiah trusts God and the walls are completed in only fifty-two days, discouraging their enemies.
