Nehemiah 7

After the walls are completed, Nehemiah sets up the gates and organizes the guards, gatekeepers, and singers. Nehemiah realizes the city is still largely empty. He then discovers the original list of those who returned with Zerubbabel decades earlier. Nehemiah begins using this list to gather the people and resettle the city of Jerusalem, establishing residency based on the old genealogical records to ensure the city is well-populated and secure for the community of God's people.
