Nehemiah 9

Nehemiah 9

The people of Israel gather for a day of fasting, confession, and worship. They stand and publicly read from the Book of the Law and confess their national sins. The Levites lead the people in a long, beautiful prayer of confession and praise, reviewing God's faithfulness from Creation through the covenant with Abraham, the Exodus, the provision in the wilderness, and their history of rebellion and exile. They praise God for His great mercy and enter into a firm written covenant to follow the Law.
