Numbers 15

Numbers 15

Following the severe judgment, God provides the Israelites with laws concerning sacrifices that will apply once they enter the Promised Land. These laws include regulations for grain and drink offerings that must accompany burnt and peace offerings. God also gives the law for unintentional sins (requiring a sin offering) and issues a harsh penalty for deliberate sin (a high-handed rebellion), which results in being cut off from the people. The chapter concludes with the command to wear tassels (fringes) on the corners of their garments as a physical reminder to obey God’s laws.
