Proverbs 17

Proverbs 17

The focus here is on family unity, true friendship, and the use of money. Better is a dry morsel with quietness than a house full of feasting with strife. A fool’s lips bring strife, and his mouth invites a beating. A true friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. It warns that a fool takes no pleasure in understanding, only in airing his own opinions. It concludes by cautioning that he who covers a transgression seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates closest friends.
