Proverbs 18

Proverbs 18

This chapter focuses on self-control, speech, and company. A fool finds no pleasure in understanding but delights in revealing his own heart. A man's words can be like deep waters, but the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook. He who answers a matter before he hears it, it is folly and shame to him. The chapter emphasizes that death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.
