Proverbs 21

Proverbs 21

This chapter reiterates the sovereignty of God and the value of integrity over sacrifice. The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as channels of water; He turns it wherever He pleases. To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. The desire of the lazy man kills him, for his hands refuse to labor. Better to live in a desert land than with a contentious and irritating woman. The chapter concludes that there is no wisdom or counsel against the Lord.
