Proverbs 26

Proverbs 26

This chapter is a series of colorful proverbs dealing with the fool, the sluggard, and the busybody. Giving honor to a fool is as inappropriate as snow in summer or rain in harvest. A fool will repeat his folly, like a dog that returns to its vomit. The chapter warns against the sluggard (lazy person), who is wiser in his own eyes than seven men who can answer wisely. It concludes by warning that a liar hides hatred, and whoever digs a pit will fall into it.
