Proverbs 27

Proverbs 27

This chapter provides advice on friendship, reputation, and security. Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth. Let another praise you, and not your own mouth. A stone is heavy and sand is weighty, but a fool’s wrath is heavier than both. Iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. The chapter stresses that diligent care of your flocks and fields ensures you will have enough food for your household and servants, providing lasting security.
