Psalms 110

Psalms 110

The most frequently quoted Messianic prophecy in the New Testament. David hears the Lord speak to his Lord (the Messiah): "Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool." The Lord will send forth the Messiah’s powerful scepter from Zion. The Messiah is declared a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. The Psalm concludes with a vision of the Messiah executing judgment upon kings in the day of His wrath and being ultimately exalted.
