Psalms 111

Psalms 111

A rhythmic, acrostic hymn of praise celebrating the greatness and righteousness of God. The Psalmist promises to praise the Lord with his whole heart in the assembly of the upright. God's works are great and studied by all who delight in them. God is merciful and compassionate. The central theme is stated clearly: "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do His commandments." The Psalm declares that God's praise endures forever.
