Psalms 112

Psalms 112

An acrostic wisdom Psalm describing the character and abundant blessing of the righteous man. The Psalm declares, "Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments." His children will be mighty, and wealth and riches will be in his house. He is gracious, compassionate, and just, lending freely to the poor. He will not be moved and will be held in everlasting remembrance. The Psalmist contrasts this with the wicked man, who will gnash his teeth and melt away in despair.
