Psalms 116

Psalms 116

A heartfelt song of personal thanksgiving for deliverance from the threat of death. The Psalmist proclaims, "I love the Lord, because He has heard my voice and my supplications." The cords of death surrounded him, and he called upon the name of the Lord. God saved his soul from death and his feet from falling. The Psalmist asks, "What shall I render to the Lord for all His benefits toward me?" He vows to take up the cup of salvation and pay his vows publicly in the presence of all God's people in Jerusalem.
