Psalms 11

Psalms 11

A psalm of unshakable trust in the face of fear. When David's friends urge him to flee to the mountains like a bird because the wicked are plotting to destroy the foundation of society, David rejects their counsel. He declares, "In the Lord I take refuge." David affirms that the Lord is in His holy Temple, and His throne is in heaven. God observes the world, tests the righteous, and hates the wicked. The Lord is a righteous God who loves justice, and the upright will look upon His face, making David secure in his place.
