Psalms 125

Psalms 125

A song of confidence affirming the stability and security of God's people. The Psalmist declares that those who trust in the Lord shall be like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people forever. The Psalm affirms that the rod of the wicked will not rest on the land of the righteous. The Psalmist prays for God's goodness to those who are good and upright in their hearts, concluding with the powerful benediction: "Peace be upon Israel!"
