Psalms 12

Psalms 12

A prayer for help in a society consumed by deceit and insincerity. David laments that the godly are vanishing, and falsehood is everywhere; neighbors speak vanity and flatter with a double heart. David asks God to cut off all flattering lips and boastful tongues, especially those who arrogantly claim, "With our tongue we will prevail; who is master over us?" God answers, promising to rise up and protect the poor and needy from those who would entrap them. David is confident that the words of the Lord are pure, like silver refined seven times, and will preserve His people.
